At the annual banquet, the TPC chair of the ISOPE conference or a chair-designated TPC member presents the Session Organizer of the Year Award to a session organizer who has successfully invited the largest number of papers or successfully established and organized a new technical field of the Society in the prior year.

The Symposium papers are included in the Proceedings of 19th International Offshore and Polar Engineering Conference, ISOPE (ISBN 1-978-1-880653-53-1; ISSN 1098-6189). All conference papers are peer-reviewed for inclusion in the Proceedings of 19th International Offshore and Polar Engineering Conference. Some 890 participants enjoyed technical fellowship and knowledge exchange. Some 70% of the participants from 50 countries traveled to Japan.
