15 Awards Presented at Annual ISOPE-2007 Award Banquet
Cupertino, California, August 15―At its 17th Annual International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineering Conference Banquet, held on 4 July at Lisbon Congress Centre, Lisbon, Portugal, ISOPE (International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers) presented 15 awards.
JIN S. CHUNG AWARD & LECTURE
At the request of Tamotsu Matsui, ISOPE president, Jin S .Chung presented the 2007 JIN S. CHUNG AWARD & LECTURE plaque at the annual ISOPE -2007 banquet to:
· Dr. Yukio Ueda, Professor Emeritus, Osaka University, Japan
In recognition of outstanding, creative and innovative contributions to
the offshore, ocean and polar engineering fields.
The lecture was delivered on July 3:
It will be published in the forthcoming issue of International Journal of Offshore and Polar Engineering.

Jin Chung, CH Kim Award Committee Chair, presented the 2007 C H KIM AWARD to:
· Dr. Pierre Ferrant, Ecole Centrale de Nantes, Nantes, France. In addition to the plaque, Dr. Ferrant received a $1,000 prize.
In recognition of his outstanding technical achievements in and exceptional contribution to floating-body hydrodynamics.
