Turkish Ocean Committee Joined ISOPE as Cooperating Society

Cupertino, California, USA, November 30, 2006 ¾ The International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers (ISOPE) is happy to announce that a new engineering organization joined to cooperate with ISOPE for the annual ISOPE conferences.

Turkish Ocean Committee (TOC) joined ISOPE to cooperate for the Annual ISOPE conferences. The TOC is represented by Prof. Abdi Kükner, Istanbul University of Technology, Istanbul, Turkey. TOC member organizations are very active in naval, ocean, oceanographic and offshore engineering, covering scientific as well as engineering fields. The member organizations are:

·  Istanbul Technical University (ITU)

·  Turkish Lloyd (TL)

·  Yildiz Technical University (YTU)

·  Middle East Technical University (METU)

·  The Chamber of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers of Turkiye (GMO)

·  The Chamber of Civil Engineers of Turkiye

·  The Technological and Scientific Research Council of Turkiye (TUBITAK).

Members of the TOC have actively been participating in the ISOPE conferences.
