Cupertino, California, December 24, 2006 ― The ISOPE-2007 Technical Program Committee (TPC) would like to thank the authors for their contributions to the ISOPE-2007 Conference and ask you to pay attention to the following information.
The 17th (2007) Annual International Offshore and Polar Engineering Conference ¾ ISOPE-2007 Lisbon will be held at Corinthia Lisboa Hotel, Lisbon (Lisboa), July 1-6, 2007. The International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers (ISOPE) has arranged special group room rates. Hotel room reservation deadline is April 1, 3 months before than the Conference.
Details of these and other sessions, as well as the technical programs, advance registration form and hotel reservation form, will be posted on www.isope.org in January. The program also includes: Opening Session and Plenary Presentations and 3 special symposia.
· By January 8, inform TPC of any changes to be reflected in the conference technical program: The paper title, authors and co-authors, order of authors listed, their affiliations and addresses.
· By January 15, email your manuscript (MS) to your assigned TPC member for peer review: For deadline extension, discuss it now with the member.
· Fax or email your copyright form directly to ISOPE before you submit the MS.
· Manuscript format: Follow the specific instructions in the conference template. The instructions include the correct ISOPE style, font, margins and format. Font must be Times Roman. Thicken thin graphic lines in the figures, and make the legends large to be legible.
· Tips for writing and presenting ISOPE papers are posted on www.isope.org.
· Graduate students. If you are the lead author, indicate when submitting the final reviewed paper in PDF format.
· One presentation per person at the Conference. Only the peer-reviewed papers with advance registration fee paid in time will be included in the Conference Proceedings in high-quality CD-ROM or DVD, all paginated as in the past, just like bound hard-copy volumes.
· Inform TPC now if you need an official letter for entry visa application to Portugal.
· Advance full-conference registration fees for authors and co-authors are US$600 [$580 in 2004] for ISOPE members and US$640 for non-ISOPE member authors. This includes a copy of the proceedings, Reception, annual Conference Banquet, and tea/coffee breaks.
· ISOPE discount room rates start from €105 at the 5-star Corinthia Lisbon Hotel. Important: Make your reservation by April 1. Download Reservation Form and Advance Registration Form from www.isope.org.
The ISOPE-2007 holds the world's largest program of its kind with peer-reviewed papers. ISOPE’s Technical Program Committee (TPC) has organized some 110 sessions of high-level refereed papers in cooperation with 26 international organizations. The authors represent over 49 countries.
The ISOPE-2007 TPC selected from over 900 abstracts, another new ISOPE record for manuscript review. The final revised papers will be printed in the conference and/or symposium proceedings.
