Cupertino, California, January 27, 2007 ― The 17th (2007) Annual International Offshore and Polar Engineering Conference ¾ ISOPE-2007 Lisbon, the world's largest program of its kind with peer-reviewed papers, will be held at Corinthia Lisboa Hotel, Lisbon (Lisboa), Portugal, July 1-6, 2007. All events and presentations will take place in this hotel. The International Society of Ocean and Polar Engineers (ISOPE) has arranged special group room rates: Hotel room reservation deadline is April 1, 3 months before the Conference.

ISOPE’s Technical Program Committee (TPC) has organized some 120 sessions of high-level refereed papers in cooperation with 26 international organizations. The authors represent over 48 countries.

 

The ISOPE-2007 TPC selected from over 930 abstracts, a new ISOPE record for manuscript review. The final revised papers will be printed in the conference and/or symposium proceedings.

 

The technical program also includes three ISOPE symposia:

 

· The 5th ISOPE HPM Symposium: Nanomaterials for Structural Applications – NANOS-2007: 9 sessions

· The 1st ISOPE Strain-Base Design Symposium – SBD-2007: 8 sessions

· The 7th ISOPE Ocean Mining Symposium -– OMS-2007: 8 sessions
