Cupertino, California, USA, August 16, 2005 ¾ The Sixth (2005) ISOPE Ocean Mining Symposium (ISOPE OMS-2005) is organized by the Ocean Mining Working Group. The Symposium will be held in Changsha, Hunan, China, October 9-13, 2005. The venue is Central South University Auditorium. The symposium features:
· 13 sessions of peer-reviewed papers and opening presentations from 9 countries
· Opening Session, sessions on Deep-ocean Water Upwelling, Exploration & Survey I and II, Mining Technology & Systems I, II, III IV and V, Gas Hydrates I, Processing Technology, Environment, and Closing Session.
· Manganese crusts, manganese nodules, gas hydrates, deep-ocean water, sulphide, hydrothermal vents
