ISOPE SPECIAL SYMPOSIUM

New Generation Gas Transport Symposium

Will Be Held COEX Convention Center, Seoul, June 19-24

ISOPE New Generation Gas Transport Symposium (ISOPE NGGT-2005 ) is organized as part of The 15th International Offshore and Polar Engineering Conference & Exhibition (ISOPE 2005) with more than 80 sessions in Seoul, Korea, June 19-24, 2005.

Natural gas is becoming the fuel of choice due to a number of factors including energy security, dwindling supply of oil, and global environmental concerns. Economic transportation of gas is essential since gas reserves are often distant from the main markets.

The objective of the symposium is to provide a forum to discuss recent developments and commercial outlooks in gas transportation systems.

Focus topics (www.isope.org) include technology, materials, transport, overview and new opportunities in:

·        Pressurized-LNG (PLNG)

·        LNG

·        Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)

·        High Strength Pipelines

·        Gas-to-Liquids (GTL), and

·        Gas Hydrates.

The symposium will emphasize the current status and future challenges in these topics and others related to gas transportation.

Experts from ExxonMobil (Dr. R. Ayer and Dr. J. Koo) are the leading organizers of sessions at this symposium
