Invitation to

ISOPE PACOMS‑2004 Vladivostok Symposium

ISOPE PACOMS-2004 Vladivostok is a companion to the world’s largest annual ISOPE conferences. Three-day symposium sessions are being organized with emphasis on:

Ocean Engineering and Control, Ice Engineering, Environment, and

Sakhalin Offshore Engineering

On behalf of International Organizing Committee (IOC) and Local Organizing Committee (LOC), we would like to invite your abstract for possible presentation at The 6th Pacific-Asia Offshore Mechanics Symposium, Vladivostok, Russia, September 11-15, 2004. Four previous symposiums were held: PACOMS-90 Seoul, Korea, PACOMS-92 San Francisco, USA, PACOMS-94 Beijing, China, and PACOMS-96 at Pusan, Korea.

Our objectives are:

·        To provide a timely international forum for researchers and engineers in the interdisciplinary fields of control technologies in ocean engineering problems and related technologies;

·        To provide opportunities for interested individuals to maintain and expand their knowledge in these fields for the benefit of engineering and scientific profession.

Accommodation at a 4-star hotel starts USD140 (tentative). The advance author registration fee is tentatively $300, including the symposium proceedings, banquet and coffee breaks. Deadlines are:

Abstract Submission                              January 20, 2004

Tentative Abstract Acceptance Notice     February 1, 2004

Manuscript for Review                              April 15, 2004

Prospective authors are invited to submit (fax or e-mail) an abstract in 300-400 words to:

(a) One of IOC or LOC members, or

The abstract must include full names, addresses, postal and e-mail addresses, and fax numbers of all author and co-authors. All manuscripts will be refereed prior to the final acceptance. The Symposium proceedings will be available during and after the Symposium.
