Session Organizer of the Year Award was established in 1997 by the Board of Directors for the Society to recognize an individual’s selfless effort and contribution to the organization of sessions at ISOPE conferences and to encourage others to view that individual as a role model. The technical program committee (TPC) chair of the ISOPE conference or chair-designated TPC member presents a Session Organizer of the Year Award (at the Annual Banquet), one per year to a session organizer who has successfully invited the largest number of papers or successfully established and organized a new technical field of the Society in prior year.
